As an open-source protocol built on community governance, these milestones are subject to formal on-chain voting and rigorous security auditing. Our core focus remains on establishing a robust, scalable Layer-1 infrastructure before expanding into cross-chain interoperability and enterprise adoption.
Q2 2026: Genesis & Testnet
Phase 1: "Ignition"
The foundational release of the Redface Network architecture.
- Core Rust Architecture: Finalization of the 10 core crates (crypto, consensus, VM, storage, etc.).
- Testnet Deployment: Launch of the public testnet, allowing developers to spin up nodes and interact via the RPC API.
- Explorer Beta: Release of `scan.redface.network` for real-time block and transaction tracking.
- Faucet Implementation: Enabling users to claim 100 Test-RED tokens every 24 hours to fuel testnet interactions.
Q3 2026: The PoI Epoch
Phase 2: "Symmetry"
Activating the full potential of our Hybrid Consensus.
- Proof-of-Interaction (PoI) Activation: Turning on dynamic PoI scoring and reward distribution at the protocol level.
- Validator Bootstrapping: Expanding the active validator set from the core foundation to community-run nodes globally.
- Smart Contract Engine V1: Alpha release of the Redface VM deterministic execution environment for deploying basic token contracts.
- Security Audit: Comprehensive third-party security audit of the cryptographic primitives and consensus logic.
Q4 2026: Mainnet Launch
Phase 3: "Ascension"
The official generation of the Redface Mainnet block.
- Mainnet Genesis Block: Formal launch of the Redface Layer-1.
- Token Generation Event (TGE): Distribution of RED tokens to early contributors, validators, and ecosystem partners.
- Wallet Integrations: Official support for Redface in major non-custodial browser extension wallets.
- On-Chain Governance: Enabling the community to submit and vote on the first protocol upgrade proposals.
Q1 2027: Ecosystem Expansion
Phase 4: "Horizons"
Scaling the utility and reach of the network.
- Cross-Chain Bridges: Implementation of decentralized bridges connecting Redface to Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana.
- DeFi Primitives: Launching the first native Automated Market Maker (AMM) DEX and lending protocols on Redface.
- Enterprise API: Releasing enterprise-grade SDKs and managed node services for large-scale institutional adoption.
